Life's Little Milestones
November 04, 2006 7:19 AM

Here's a short update, although I don't have any new pictures to post with it. We've been going through a very important and difficult phase with Juliana—potty training!

I didn't want to write about it until I had some progress to report, and now I do. Juliana "gets it" now and asks to use the potty, not every time, but most of the time. It took a lot of patience on Tami's part. She spent a lot of time sitting on the edge of the tub, waiting. She would sit there, reaching over every few minutes to hug Juliana. Now Juliana expects to be hugged while she's sitting on the pot!

I'm so glad the worst of potty training is over. I don't think it was a "power struggle". Juliana very much wants to do things "correctly". I think she just wasn't sure of what she was supposed to do. Now of course she's very proud of herself. We are too.
